Following a rewarding 25-year career as a business owner in industrial mechanical services, retirement took on a uniquely sweet note when I decided to turn my passions for beekeeping and raising chickens into a fulfilling second act on my hobby farm. 

 

Though I did not grow up on a farm and had zero prior experience in farming or beekeeping, my curiosity became the driving force for a new adventure. I delved into numerous books and scoured YouTube videos. Joining forces with the Walworth County and Milwaukee, Waukesha County Beekeepers Associations, I immersed myself in the world of bees.

I am truly blessed with three children and a beautiful grandbaby who inspire and support me in this endeavor. Mary, my queen bee, is the creative force behind crafting all our candles and chapsticks. My bees are like my tiniest family members and their hard work results in the sweet, golden delicious honey that fills our jars. 

 

Currently serving as the President of the Walworth County Beekeepers Association and serve on the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Honey Producers Association, I find joy in mentoring both the young and the young at heart through the Beekeepers Association.
